Company Overview

UK Screening Solutions Ltd was established in January 2010 to support Sellafield site contracting companies (predominantly based on the Sellafield site) with a local office providing a cost effective alternative to D&A screening services available at the time. The following year UKSS expanded operations by opening a second office in Widnes, Cheshire to support our existing nuclear client base.

 

In March 2013 we further expanded our operations by achieving Achilles Link Up/RISQS accreditation; this enabled us to provide drug and alcohol screening services to Network Rail stringent standards. In order to provide our services to our growing client base we increased our number of Collections Technicians to 130, based strategically throughout the UK.

 

In 2015 we experienced further growth in secureing a contract to provide full Occupational Health services to the Merseylink Project, one of the largest construction sites in the UK. Based in a purpose built Medical Facility on site and utilizing our Mobile Medical Unit to provide cover for the 12 Merseylink satellite sites, our experienced nurses provide Emergency First Responder and a range of health and wellbeing clinics to the workforce.

 

Our portfolio of services has now greatly expanded since our establishment in 2010 and we now offer a range of Occupational Health services to existing and new clients. We have highly experienced OH nurses and Occupational Health Doctors to support the delivery of a range of workplace related health services.

 

We work closely with our clients to develop and improve their in-house drug and alcohol policies, increasing the level of client involvement and providing a bespoke testing regime. We are in the process of developing a cost effective monthly random screening system, which exceeds the site requirements and therefore the customer’s expectations. This system effectively acts as a substance abuse deterrent, reducing absenteeism, sickness rates and improving productivity/performance.
